Our History
Rachel's Quality Consignment opened in 1991 as Quality Consignment. Rachel worked in the shop since age 15 in 1994 until she bought it in 2001 at the age of 22. In 2003 the store was moved to a bigger location giving it the ability to accept more items for men, women, and children.
In November 2012 Rachel bought the former Leo & Al's auto body shop. Over the following 10 months Rachel’s vision for the former garage was realized as it was transformed into the amazing retail space it is today. In October 2013 Rachel moved into the new location that is 3000 square feet with 12 foot high ceilings and tons of wood detail. The parking lot offers plenty of parking for everyone. During the store transformation Rachel decided not to only remodel the store but to reinvent the shop by offering high quality jewelry.
Rachel's has new items arriving daily. Some items still new with tags. Our designer jeans go out just as fast as they came in so our customers stop in sometimes 1-2 times a week to make sure they don't miss out on any treasures. Rachel hand picks only the best name brand and designer items for men, women, and children. There is always a wide variety of designer handbags. Currently there is a large variety of Hermes scarves and blouses.
With a combination of style and business savvy, Rachel has the lead the store to new heights. The feeling is every woman and man should look like a million with out spending a million!
The new location is one of the most beautifully adorned retail spaces in Litchfield. Customers enjoy a shopper-friendly atmosphere as well as expanded clothing, accessory, and jewelry selections for the whole family! The location also includes a sitting area for the non-shoppers, a play area for the kids and spacious fitting rooms.
